Letting her know....

This is a layout about my youngest and our rather tumultuous relationship we are having right now - the kind that according to her she's always right, I'm always wrong. We argue about that one A LOT! Which is always, until she wants something from me. Having raised two teens already, I know this will eventually pass, but until then I wanted to let her know that I do love her - even though she's almost always so very wrong.....

sigh.....she'll learn...

For this layout, I used products from my August Studio Calico kit. I used my Silhouette to cut the chevrons down the center of my page and then backed it with some contrasting patterned paper.
I did some stamping and layering, and used the very cool cloud Hambly print transparency to accent the corners of my layout. I spray misted the veneer hearts with Mister Huey Sunset.

Another layout with the Just Add Water kit by FPK

I have another layout that I made with my Just Add Water kit from Front Porch kits that I made after the reveal day. The photos were taken at the photobooth that was at my son's wedding - it's my mom and me being silly together!! The Silhouette Cameo cut banner is made from a piece of wood veneer paper that's in the kit - it's actual wood veneer and it cuts beautifully in the Cameo!! The rest were just bits and pieces that I had leftover from my  other projects. I still have a few things left - maybe enough to make another layout and a card! :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

Very quick card

This is just a quick card I made for a challenge on the Studio Calico blog to layer. Since I love to layer anyway, this literally came together in five minutes! I just gathered a bunch of leftover items from my July SC kit and stacked them together. Easy peasy and so fun!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)
Have a great day!!

Dr. Seuss Quote Title

This is a layout of my son with a Dr. Seuss quote for the title. I had the large "today" piece already cut using my Silhouette Cameo (I think I use it for every project now!!) that I was going to use on another layout that just didn't work, and I looked and looked for a quote using the word today so I could use it on this layout. And then as I was looking at the stamps in my SC kit, I realized I had a stamp with the perfect quote for Jonathan! He is definitely a unique guy!! The stamp includes the whole quote, but I only used part of the stamp - I covered the part I didn't want to stamp with a piece of washi tape when I inked my stamp, then pulled the tape off right before I stamped the image to ensure that I wouldn't get ink where I didn't want it to be. I layered scraps and leftovers of pieces of pp that I had used on other layouts under my photo area and then sprinkled some of those very awesome SC veneer stars across my page. I added a few other styles of veneer on various parts of my layout too - I LOVE that veneer! And, I love this layout of my son who I miss very very much!!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)
