Bunny Hop Blog Hop with The Little Blue House!!

I hope you're having a fun time hopping along on our blog hop!! I am sharing a couple of treat bags that I made using the gorgeous Echo Park Happy Easter Collection , Crate Paper Wood Hoops, and the Doodlebug Sprinkles Vellum - which is such a cool product to use!!

 I used the "Happy Easter" patterned paper by Echo Park which has the journal cards on it. I chose to cut them up and feature them on the front of my treat bags.

I cut out the elements I wanted to use

Then punched out some of the wording

I then started layering - my favorite part of the process ;). I used some of the pink and green Sprinkles Vellum by Doodlebug as the bottom layer using my scallop punches and then layered in my cut elements

 I really love the way I can add adhesive to the back of the vellum to attach it to my projects and you can't see it through the front!! That's one of the reasons I've been reluctant to use vellum. I even used it on the larger treat bag as a type of washi tape effect  - and you can't see the adhesive that I used to stick it down - I love that!!

The Little Blue House Media Team - February Projects

One of my newest gigs is being a part of a fabulous team of gifted and talented ladies and they let me play along too using some of the newest products on the market to create whatever kind of projects that I want to!! How lucky could I get?? And Tracy Pounds - who is the owner of the store that I create for -  has got to be one of the sweetest ladies that I have ever met - and so is her daughter Kristyn who does a fantastic job of listing products in the online store and keeping up with the blog - among so many other jobs!!

First is a layout that I made using Dear Lizzy Serendipity products. For my background of hearts, I used a mask and some tinted modeling paste. I accented a few of the hearts using Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

My next project also features Dear Lizzy Serendipity - the hearts that are stacked are from the mask (used in the previous layout) that I cut using my Silhouette Cameo.

For my last project I used Dear Lizzy Serendipity products and the die-cut set from the collection. I also used the pink Wink of Stella Glitter brush to accent the edges of my flower petals. You can check out all the info about how I made my tag on the LBH blog here .

February Birds of a Feather Kit Co Reveal

This month's Birds of a Feather Kit Co February kit is filled with lovely We R Memory Keepers papers with a couple of sheets of Kiss, Kiss Create paper and some beautiful and fun embellishments and a bottle of Ranger Distress Paint too~!

I loved the chipboard frame piece so I decided to use it to showcase my puppies. I painted the piece using the distress paint from the kit, added some pearl paint dots from my stash around each frame and then layered bits and pieces of paper underneath the frames that didn't have a photo in it. I layered a few of the embellishments for added interest!

For this layout, my base piece is a mask that I had cut using my Silhouette Cameo where I used tinted modeling paste to create a heart background - this was the leftover mask- I loved the watercolor like effect it left on the mask and I used it on top of a piece of the Crate Paper piece. I kept the rest of the layout simple - I just layered the photo under several pieces of paper and cardstock and then used a few of the embellishments to enhance the photo.

Finished in a Flash Challenge with the LBH Media Team

Last Monday evening I took part in a very hard challenge for me - to make a layout in 30 minutes!! I have got to be the slowest scrapper in the world. I worry, and move around, and look for just the right thing to use on my projects so long, my layout can take a couple of days to make. So, for this challenge (and just 10  minutes before we started!!) I threw a stack of patterned paper on my table (which included some scraps from recent projects), I picked a few packs of embellishments with hearts in them (a challenge requirement), a stamp set (also another challenge requirement), and used the photo that was sitting right on top of the stack of photos that was sitting on my work table. Here's what I came up with

I already had the heart cut from a previous project (I used the heart as a template to punch around it for a sewing project on a layout) so that made it tad easy to accommodate the love theme. I did a little layering, and found a place for the stamped saying at the bottom of my photo. That inspired me to use a few gold stars as accents around my photo. I love that the piece of patterned paper looks like it had washi around the edges and that gave me a frame for the white space on my layout. Having a frame around the outside of my layout is one of my favorite ways to ground the layout. I used the project life journaling card to act as the title/journaling of my layout - which saved me lots of time! I had just enough time to splatter some gold ink across my layout.

For the paper layered under my photo - I just eyeballed it and hand cut the mats. It was quick and easy, and I don't mind the uneven edges at all.

Full Reveal for "The Greatest of These is Love" Front Porch Kit...

Here are my projects that I made using the fabulous products from the kit....I loved it so much and these came together effortlessly!!

This layout is my favorite and it features photos my daughter sent to me from her first girl's road trip she took with her college friends last month. I love the touches of gold in this kit - it goes beautifully with the pinks!

Next is a layout with a photo of dh and I on one our recent bike rides. I used the piece of pink twine to stitch the large heart on the background piece. I also used one of the Reverse Confetti stamps to stamp the frame around my layout. For the ombre effect, I just inked the stamp heavily and then stamped three times consecutively before re-inking the stamp. And I love that the inks splats were already printed on the paper! Love it!!

Next is a double page layout of my oldest daughter and her hubby. They really are a cute couple and they love posing for pictures! Just a lot of layering using the gorgeous gold bits from the kit. I did glitter up one of the chipboard hearts from the Maya Road chipboard set to use on here.

Next is a card that I made using all of the sequins and buttons as a sort of shaker on the front of it. I used the baggie that they came in, cutting it to fit behind one of the Polaroid frames and sewed it closed. I used bits and pieces of scraps that I had leftover from other projects to layer this.

Lastly, I used the Maya Road chipboard mini album to make a banner for my youngest daughter to hang on her dorm room door. I used a piece of book paper to make some rosettes and to back some of the hearts.
