I am on the verge of using up the rest of my August Studio Calico kit (thank goodness as I got so much scrappy goodness in their blowout sale that will be here next week as well as the usual month kit with add-ons!!) so I was glad to use some of my scraps here. Studio Calico has also started to offer printables every month to coordinate with the kit of that month, and I used 3 of the journal cards that I printed out. There several other designs on the sheet that I have used on other layouts this month. I used a piece of patterned paper (the turquoise piece) that I had punched some confetti dots for one of my confetti pouches on an earlier layout. I have hoarded all the bits left from that piece of butterfly papers and I used some of the pieces in various spots. I cut the Polaroid frames with my Silhouette Cameo. I used some wood veneer camera pieces as accents - I first tried to stamp on them, and even though they turned out great, I didn't like the color. So, I used my silver Mister Huey to color them and give them a more subtle color. They aren't really silvery - more gray - but I like the way look better than the black that I first tried.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a great day!! :)
Soooo good looking. Truly, the layering, shading, drops of mist...it's all great. I'm so jealous that you made it to the blow out sale in time. Sigh...maybe next time :)
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of mist colours you have used here. Isn't it funny how we often start a page in one direction and end up going somewhere else entirely?
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous layout!! Love the polaroid frames! I'm in the same boat. I bought way too much for September, but I'm very close to using up my August kit. Of course I still have a bit from the 5 months before that too. I really need to get busy!
