I don't make cards very often, but on World Card Making Day, I like to challenge myself by participating in the fun and take on some challenges that help me to make them! This year I used the challenges on the Studio Calico blog. I made the top two on Saturday and did a quick third card this afternoon (right before my football game!). The top card was a challenge to use a sketch, the second card was to have a repeating stamped background, and the third card combined 4 challenges in one - use a diecut (the Polaroid frame), layer some wooden veneer pieces on top of each other (the butterflies), use scraps (I did from my SC kit from last month), and make in 15 minutes or less (which was easy enough done since I have some diecuts already precut and ready to use - I simply backed the diecut piece with scraps, attached some washi tape down one side of the card, adhered the Polaroid frame, misted one butterfly and then attached all three, pop dot a sticker quote and added the final enamel dots). I like the way they all turned out - and they are all so different! I like that too! :)
Thanks so much for looking and have a great day!
Gorgeous cards Valerie
