Love my girls....
This is another selfie taken by my oldest daughter with her sister while we were in Washington DC last summer. I think the photos that are taken on our Iphones have become my favorites to scrap - they show the true us and the fun we are having in that moment!
This is another layout that I wanted to use lots of embellishments up - here I used a whole group of tab stickers made by Pebbles. I layered them above and below the photo and then layered more embellishments and the title on top of the tabs. I have been hoarding that little piece of arrow transparency that I bought that was part of a Kelly Purkey mini album kit. I couldn't hide that away in a mini album, I wanted it to be front and center on a layout! I did some misting over a plano mask made by Studio Calico and or course added some ink splotches. That "intagrammed" is such a cool little stamp! I've stamped it in several colors and punched them out with a circle punch so that I can throw them on a layout every once in a while. I usually pop them up with a pop dot!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!! :)

Kind of a grid.....
I really like the look of a grid design, but perfect squares are just not for me! When I block everything off I like to make my "grids" more off center. Some blocks longer some short, some skinny, some that look like a flag/banner!
For this layout I really wanted to emphasize the flag piece at the top, so I rounded all the other corners of the grid. I used my usual color scheme (aqua, yellow and white) but threw in a bit of green too. Since the journal card that I used had a black word on it, I needed to balance the rest of the layout, so I used a black heart paperclip with the black and white brads near the photo to bring your eye down and across the photo. I cut my title out using my Silhouette Cameo. For the tag piece, I stamped the saying (which happens to be the name of my blog ;) ) and the cute arrows across the bottom. To break the grid look up a little more, I layered a sticker and chipboard piece above and below the gridwork to give it a little movement and depth. I just love the texture of that woodgrain background cardstock!!
This is one of my favorite photos of my kids altogether being silly - even my son has a fake moustache over his real one!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

Using up embellishments
I tend to hoard my embellishments - I have so very very many half (or more!!) packs of embellishments that I never seem to use up! So I challenged myself to use an entire pack of embellishments on one layout. The pack I used was a pack of over 50 pieces of chipboard that I got in one of my Studio Calico kits. I realized that I would have to make the all those pieces a design element so it wouldn't look like I just threw a bunch of chipboard onto my page! So, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut some circles on my base cardstock and then backed the circles with some patterned paper (love that arrow design!). I then surrounded the edges of the circles with the arrow and geotags pieces of chipboard. I also layered a couple of the word tags that were also part of the chipboard pack. I used up ALMOST the entire pack - I still have about 3 pieces left but that is so much more manageable than having most of the pack left!
