Still creating with Boardwalk....

This has definitely been my most favorite kit ever that I've gotten from Studio Calico! I actually might use the entire kit before I get my September kit!! Here a few projects that I've worked on - the get well card was for some design team work at Just Imagine Crafts - but I did use the products from my SC kit! For the to playout I used a photo that I took of Samantha and Nick on their wedding day. The colors of the kit were just perfect for it! The center layout is of my youngest a few years ago when she actually had the patience to sit down and spend time with us...LOL! TFL!

GDT work at YouScrapbookStash.com

I was thrilled to be invited to be a guest designer over at yourscrapbookstash.com. I was on the DT last year and had such a blast working with Allyssa McGrew and Erica Weinstock!! I got a HUGE box of goodies to work with - lots of travel stuff from October Afternoon - Boarding Pass and We Are Memory Keepers - Travel Light. Both are full of gorgeous vintage yumminess! These are some of the projects that I made. All but the "Day Belongs to You" card is from the WRMK line. For that card i used the October Afternoon line. TFL!

Yahoo!! Highlighted on Creating Keepsakes blog!!

I was so excited to see on of my layouts highlighted on Club CK Inspirations today!! Now if I could just get published in the mag itself I'd be ecstatic!! LOL

Here are a couple of layouts that I've been working on with my August Studio Calico Kit - definitely one of their best kits, and my fav so far - that hasn't happened for a while!!

For the top layout I used my new EK Success border punch - also one of my new favs - for the doily punched borders and the flower punch for the rolled flower. That layout features some pics of my dd that she wanted me to delete from my camera - too bad for her...LOL! I liked 'em a lot!! That little bordie in the top left corner is from Anthropologie - they come in a pack of 10 little different colored birds on paperclips - I haven't used them as paperclips yet!!

The bottom layout is also of Danielle while we were in Florida this summer (one of our mini vacays we did this summer!). She also wanted me to delete these..hee hee!! When will she ever learn???
That little smiley face was a stamp from the kit and I couldn't resist sewing some silly hair above it to help highlight him!!

TFL!!

Dreaming....

Everytime I go down to the coast and visit my mom I wish I were back on the gulf coast for good - I miss the beaches and water so much!! My dream is to one day live on a Florida beach.... The last time I was back "home" on the coast, we took a ride over to Florida (less than 2 hours away) to go to the beach and sun and swim. I took some pictures out of my car window while I was wistfully wishing I was there forever!! These cute colored condos caught my eye -

When I got my August Studio Calico kit I knew the colors in the kit would be perfect for my Florida pictures and this paper by Sassafras Lass was so dreamy looking - perfect for the feel I was going for when I pictured the layout in my head! I love the cloth mistables ribbon (which I left plain) - it gives so much texture and wispiness to my page! TFL!!

My Derby Girl!!

I recently went to Samantha's first derby bout and got tons of awesome pictures of her and couldn't wait to scrap them! I also got a couple of Studio Calico grab bags this last month with my kits and they were chalk full of some gorgeous stuff - mostly things I didn't already have (like the fab star stamps) and the things I already had some of I really loved and was glad to have more!! I used some of the goodies from one of my grab bags to make this layout of my Derby Gal!! I also used this layout for some Design Team work at Just Imagine here. I used a Just Imagine lattice die to make the latticework that backs the pictures! I love the texture and pop the diecut gives to the layout! TFL!!

An adorable color inspiration

When I saw this picture, I was not only inspired by the fabulous colors, but that cute little pig was just too irresistible to pass up!! For my layout I used GCD Studios Spring in Bloom line by Donna Salazar! I've been trying to get caught up on Samantha's wedding pictures, and the colors were just too perfect for the fab photo of the happy couple!! I LOVE that the line comes with a piece of patterned paper that's already diecut into border strips. That's what I used under the picture. And then I used some of the gorgeous embellishments from the Funhouse line - my most favorite line GCD Studios has!!
I fussy cut the butterflies from one of the Spring in Bloom patterned papers also - there are several colors to choose from - that line is just sooo versatile!! TFL and have fun creating!!
