Love her more....

Another challenge layout - to create a grid. This challenge is on the SC forums to use up our stash. I did use a lot of products on this - especially those lovely little wooden veneer pieces made by Studio Calico that I am so in love with! So many come in one pack, that I can use a bunch and still have lots and lots left over (I also *may* have gotten several packs of each design...heehee)! That cute little stamp of a stamp is from BananafishStudio.com - she has a lot of really cute well priced stamps on her blog and lots more pretties also! I used my April Studio Calico kit for this, and I did add several things from my stash too! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

It's been slow going lately.....

Lately I have just not been in the mood to scrap - unfortunately that hasn't stopped me from buying - Eek!! I've been trying to jumpstart my mojo by joining in on challenges and this is the 4/16 weekly designer challenge on the Studio Calico blog. The challenge was to use some raw chipboard letters for the titles  and/or journaling. These letters are some Studio Calico kit exclusive Thickers that were in the March 2012 SC kit. I love the font of these!

For this layout, I wanted to use some of my new (see I keep buying!!) Studio Calico wood veneer frames for a couple of photos and then in the others I wanted to house some fun embellishments. Of course I had to add some misting (love that mask made by Christie Tomlinson!!) - I used my white Mister Huey. My new favorite way to add some journaling is to type it on vellum and cut it out in strips - it just kind of blends in better when I'm layering it on patterned paper. Some of the products are from my April City of Lights Studio Calico kit, and some were from my stash of recently purchased items - the stick pins, pennants, and buttons are all from My Minds Eye and the camera/heart flair button is from Ormolu.

Studio Calico Weekly Challenge.....

I made this layout using my April 2012 Studio Calico kit for the weekly challenge that Studio Calico has every Wednesday. The challenge this week was to stamp on your layout at least 2 times. I stamped 3 times - "Enjoy Today", "destin, fl", and I stamped the image onto the little kraft flag! Of course I threw on some mist (I have very little "lunchroom" Mister Huey left and I am VERY sad as they don't make it anymore :(...) and then I wanted to use confetti in a kind of different way besides just throwing across my page - I coated my wooden frame with Glossy Accents and sprinkled some confetti all over it. I cut the waves with my Cameo. That's me in the middle of my two older children a couple of years ago during one spring break in Florida! TFL!!

Using up my stash......

I made this layout for a challenge at Studio Calico to use up some older stash - and this really is some older stash - this was made using my first kit I bought as a subber at Studio Calico in Jan 2009!! Everything is from the kit - except for the button in the center of the flower. I still have the remnants of every kit from then until now separated into it's own bag! This was also for the weekly challenge on the SC blog to scrap simply. This is as simple as I can get!! I look at this and I still want to add more - but I'll refrain!! :)
