Fresh Spring Strawberries!!

Every springtime, right around Easter, our local farm has the most beautiful juicy and sweet strawberries! I can buy a flat of them for $14 - not bad at all for!! We can only get them for about a month, but when they're available I get at least 3 flats during the season! I used my May Studio Calico kit to make this layout. The kit included some paper filters with it, and I used one of the filters to make my yellow flower in the bottom left corner. For the border edge around the sides - I used the leftover scraps from the punched borders that are on the my layout! TFL!

Our favorite song lyric!

I took these pictures of Danielle a few months ago using my hipstamatic app on my phone and I love the bright ethereal look to them! This song by Pink (the radio version!) really speaks to Danielle - and I love to sing the lyrics to her. It's a fabulous message for everyone - but especially teen girls! This is my most favorite layout that I've made in a while! The colors, the pictures, the title, the lyrics, those papers, the butterflies.......it's just me! TFL!! :)

May Studio Calico kit!

I LOVE this kit - I haven't had a lot of time to use it as I've been busy creating GCD Studios projects - to be seen very soon :) - but while I had a small break I broke into my May Studio Calico kit!! I'm not sure if I like the 3-D glasses layout - it's just so not me - but I did have fun making it!! I did a lot of stamping and distressing. I'm taking an altered art canvas class and that's the technique we use so it transferred to my layout!

On the mismatched socks layout, I reverted back to my style more with the misting and layering and white space! :) TFL!!

May Challenges at Just Imagine

Check out the May challenges over at the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog!! You could win a fabulous punch or the BEST circle cutter ever made!! Here's my project - it's a card using their butterfly die and butterfly 4 in one punch!

I used the die to cut out 3 butterflies and layered them on my card - sewing down the center and fanning out the wings. I used the same butterfly punch not only to make the butterfly border down the side, but to make the corner cuts on the card. Have fun creating!!
