Always be you.....

These are some belated senior portraits I took of Danielle for her graduation invitations. I had taken some the summer before, but she wanted new ones taken with her blue hair and recent weight loss! I took her photos one Sunday afternoon, photoshopped them up a bit, sent them to the printers, and had her invitations by Thursday afternoon. I did pay a little extra for faster shipping, but it was worth it!

For this layout I used products from my April SC kits using one of the PL cards as my title and

And a place for my journaling (which is a quote I got from Pinterest). I cut the circle background with My Silhouette Cameo and I took some of the cut circles from the background and covered them with the chevron washi tape. I used some tags and chipboard from my stash for layering and I typed the quote onto a piece of vellum and layered it on top of the journal card. I dotted a few sequins around for some bling!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!! :)

let's have an Adventure....

Wow!! Two layouts in a row that include a photo of dh and I.....that's highly unusual as I have so few photos of us together!! :)

I usually don't buy these types of photos - too expensive and I really don't know how to use them on a layout - but I really liked this one of us together (I don't know how but we actually color matched!!) and there are so few...so I splurged and spent $20 on the photo - there are 3 of them - 2 this size and one 8x10.

I used products from my Studio Calico kits - a mix of the May and April kits (both PL and scrapbook). I also used the new SC punch (which I bought at my lss) to make the cute little red anchors and an AC roller stamp that I picked up at Target a couple of days ago. I cut the title using my Silhouette Cameo.

Thanks for looking!! Have a wonderful day!! :)

valerie & michael

I am constantly pinning ideas on Pinterest to use for scrapping inspiration, and I finally used 2 of the pins on this layout - here's the link to the quote http://pinterest.com/pin/38139928066828394/ and here's the link for the inspiration for the cascading sequins/paper circles http://pinterest.com/pin/38139928066259910/ .

I went with a monochromatic feel to the layout - not something I usually do - but I like the effect and I really wanted the quote to shine. I have collected tons of sequins, so I wanted to use a lot on my layout which I achieved not only in the cascades but I also filled a vellum envelope with them too!

For the quote, I printed onto my cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo - I finally broke into the pens!! Since I don't have a large format printer ( nor the space to house it), the Silhouette is perfect for printing on my 12x12 layouts!!

I hadn't planned on the black arrow paper layered on top of the gray and verse papers, but I had a horrible mishap with some stamping and had to cover it up. Not exactly what I wanted, but not a bad cover-up!

Sewing sequins down is kind of tricky - some flew off as a sewed over them and some even broke - but I just glued some more on top of the sewing!

I used some products from my May Studio Calico kits (scrapbook and PL), but I also used some papers from previous kits (February) and even a paperclip from my stash that I've had for several years!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

You and Me.....

This is a photo and my youngest and me - we took it while we were riding on the train to Dallas. It was a fun adventure we had while visiting my son and she always takes such good Iphone photos of us together!

I used lots of Maggie Holmes Crate Paper line on this - it a gorgeous, soft, eclectic line that I absolutely love!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking!! :)

Hello, my name is Gremlin - AKA Trouble....

This is my silly scrapping buddy Gremlin. He follows me around everywhere, but he especially likes my scrapbook room - and lying on top of all my scrapbook goodies. Or jumping up onto my table and making everything go flying off onto the floor as I'm working on a layout. Or trying to scratch and grab the photos as I am printing them with my Selphy printer. Just to name a few of his many scrapping adventures. :/ He'd better be glad I adore him and his company so much....

I used products from my March Studio Calico kit with some Silhouette cutting too (the star mat and the arrows). I was also able to use a bit of my stash too!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)
