I am going to teach a class at my local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Corner in Little Rock, AR - on misting so I decided to experiment a little with the mists! I wasn't sure what project to do - a layout or cards - so I did both to show an example to our design team coordinator.
For the cards, I used cream mist on a Little Yellow Bicycle doily for the flower on the happy spring card and for the other card I used a doily as a mask and misted hydrangea blue over it. For the layout, I also misted hydrangea blue over the doily and used the spot for journaling. We both liked the way they all turned out, but we decided to go with the cards as they would be a lot quicker to do. I will be teaching misting techniques, then we'll be making the cards and a mini-album. It's sometime in May and I am so excited - and a little nervous! TFL!
Beautiful cards and LO.
ReplyDeleteI really should use my mists. Really...
Love the misting technique. I finally tried it myself and found that I was a little light handed. Your projects are beautiful. Good luck with the class - you'll be great!
ReplyDeleteBoth are neat looking projects but yeah cards are much easier to teach. Ranger U does tags - lots and lots of tags :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to get some time to play and use my mists.
