Bloghop Scraplift Layout!
I took part in a Bloghop challenge to do some bloghopping on some friends blogs and pick a layout to scraplift. I choose this one by Kylie. I took her idea to use the K&Company frames on my layout. This is layout of my oldest child when she was a toddler and we were living in England. She always had this sweet smile on her face. TFL!

Just for me!
This is layout I did just for me :)! I have two more in the works. I started using my August Studio Calico kit and now I'm on a roll! This is one of the pictures I took of Miami from the balcony of our hotel room. This was all we got to see of Miami because we had gotten in so late (actually early in the morning!!). We slept, woke up in time to have a very late breakfast and then took off for Key West. I used my Martha Stewart border punch for the lacy ribbon border strip. TFL!

A layout for a couple of challenges!
I made this layout yesterday for a couple of challenges on two different scrapbook sites! I did this for Studio Calico - where the challenge was to scrap a small photo. That was easy peasy - I have lots of small photos to scrap. I like cropping pics :). I also did this for Tallyscrapper where the challenge was to use distressed paper somewhere (I distressed the edges of the smaller pieces of patterned paper), use some paint (around the picture itself) and to use the word "smile" in the title. It was fun using my August Studio Calico kit for this - I haven't gotten to play with my kits as much as I'd like since I've had a lot of design team work and I also recently started working at my local scrapbook store! Those are both VERY good reasons not use my kits though, I'm certainly not complaining ;)! TFL!!

New Teresa Collins for the Holidays!!
These are two new layouts I did for dt work at my local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Corner in Little Rock. The new Teresa Collins paper is so gorgeous! On my "Thankful" layout, I used my new border punch that I got - it's the scrolls and flowers across the top and bottom of the middle paper. I backed it with some black cardstock to make it really pop. The "Christmas" layout is of my sister so very long ago! I love that number transparency (I'm not usually a big fan of transparencies). The bow was actually silver and I got it clearanced from Biglots in a pack of six for $2. They are Martha Stewart and I've been holding onto them forever! I used my Maya mist in red and spritzed away to make the ribbon red. I like the slight sheen it gives the ribbon. TFL!!

More August DT work....New Bo Bunny line
I was so fortunate to use the new line of paper available from Bo Bunny to make my Father Daughter Day layout. My local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Corner - has ordered the whole line and I just love the vintage style to this. I was also asked to try some different Tattered Angels glimmer products and I used several on this layout. I used the Chalkboard in "chalk" as splatters on the chalkboard patterned paper. I used some Glimmer glam on the letters to change them from beige to the black and I really love how well this worked. I used a little Glimmer mist on some of the paper in "sunshine" to give a more vintage feel. And I used some Glimmer glaze on the large flower that I made. For the other layouts I used the line Dear Lizzy made by American Crafts - most of this line is available at yourscrapbookstash.com for 25% off! I used a combination of the patterned paper and fabric paper and I love the way the fabric paper gives some dimension to may layouts - especially if they are layered. TFL!

August DT work for yourscrapbookstash.com
I can't believe it's been so long since I've blogged! I've been busy this month - a mini vacation one long weekend, getting ready for a new school year, enjoying the last days of summer! I've uploaded a few things I've been working on for some design team work. The "mad max" Mike layout is for design team work at yourscrapbookstash.com using the Documentary line by Studio Calico. I'm gonna have to get some more of that line - it is perfect for vacation pictures! This is Michael while we were in Cozumel. We had to wear the helmets on our ATV jungle ride..LOL. The two cards were made using Sassafras Lass - Indie Girl. I used the banner stickers and some of the whimsies. The entire Indie girl and Documentary lines are available at yourscrapbookstash.com in the store - and don't forget to use the coupon code August2010 to receive a 20% discount on your entire purchase!!

Scrapping my girls!
I took soooo many pictures while we were on vacation in Key West and I really love the shots I got of my girls (too bad my guys weren't with us :( . ) These are a couple of layouts that I did this past week with each of my girls. I know I'm biased but they are both just so beautiful !! The layout with Danielle was using my August Studio Calico kit that was delivered Friday afternoon. I love the colors of the paper and embellies in this kit!! She was not pleased at all when I had this picture printed out - especially because she had a big scratch on her forehead (which we could never figure out how she got ) - but I love the true smile on her face (not the forced fake smile I sometimes get!) and those darling dimples of hers!! Don't you just love the font of her name on this layout?? Those are some very limited edition letter stamps that came in one of the add-on kits this month! The layout of Samantha (aka Snooki) was made using some product that I got from yourscrapbookstash.com - the Indie Girl line by Sassafras Lass. I really had fun layering and punching on this one!! She is at her cousin's wedding all dolled up and looking fabulous with her (very expensive) hairdo!! If you are looking for the Indie Girl line, it's available at YSS where you can get all the products at 20% off by using the coupon code AUGUST2010. TFL!!

Indie Girl by Sassafras Lass
I've always loved Sassafras Lass, but their new line Indie Girl has got to be one of my favorites that they've ever come out with!! I love the colors and the designs on the patterned papers. They look so 70's to me - my favorite decade!! I made this layout using everything from the Indie Girl line. I stacked a lot of the flowers together - mixing and matching the sweet treat stickers with the bouquet whimsy diecut flowers giving them a chunky 3-d effect. This is a photo of my younger daughter and me taken while we were on vacation! She tends to make silly faces anymore when I try and get pictures of her! The whole Indie Girl line is available here at yourscrapbookstash.com - and don't forget that everything is on sale in the store there! All you have to do is put AUGUST2010 as the coupon code and you will receive 20% off of your whole order!! TFL!!
