This is a layout that I made of my older daughter Samantha. I took this photo while she was here visiting in May - we were at a quaint little Tea House in Greer's Ferry that had really blah food, but we did enjoy spending the afternoon together!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make those really cool sunburst cards with my favorite color cardstock! The arrows were also cut with the Silhouette - they were leftovers from a different project! I found that huge butterfly rub-on by Jenni Bowlin when I was searching through some older products for a challenge that I was doing (that's another layout!) and put it straight on my desk to use. I love the pop of color it gives to my layout - and I love using hoarded stash too...LOL!
Most of the products of from my May Studio Calico kit - that clear washi tape that has just a touch of aqua is one of my favorites that I've ever had and I love just slapping on a piece here and there! I actually did some stamping (I love stamps but I'm not very good with them!) around the edges with the hexagon stamps that were in the kit. I also used up all of the Heidi Swapp files by layering them under the photo!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun creating!! :)

Better Late Than Never......
I am running a little (lot) late posting my layout for the Take 12 Challenge - I took the pictures (lots of them!!) on the 12th during my vacation (where Danielle wanted me to take her senior portraits), but I came home from vacation and had to recover from vacation and then started getting ready Jonathan's wedding at the end of this month - I just haven't had lots of time to do any creating! But, the great thing about this Take 12 challenge is I at least have one memory recorded for this month - even though we've been so busy this year, I love that I will have at least one album filled with some of our memories throughout the year - and not just for special occasions!! So don't worry if you don't get yours done "on time" - try and take time to do it at some point in between all of life moments - it took me a week to work on and finish this layout :)! And don't forget that if you can get your layout done on time each month (by the 18th) and upload it onto the Ella Publishing blogpost that is posted on the 12th of each month - you could win a fabulous prize - they do some awesome giveaways!!
I used my June Studio Calico kit to make this - I love all the embellishments that were in the kits this month!! I used the fringed border piece (Heidi Swapp) to make the flowers! And of course I had to throw a few veneer pieces on there too!! I just love those tiny hearts and cameras!
Thanks for stoppong by!! :)

Back Online!!
It really sucks to go on vacation then come back to no Internet and then it taking so very long to get it sorted out!! Can you say Internet withdrawal??? Well.....I'm back now!!! And I have project that I made for the Front Porch DT - just a fun project that we were challenged to create using a vintage tie! We could make whatever we wanted with it and I chose to make a little wristlet for my iphone!!
Now, I'm no great seamstress by any means - I can sew straight lines (sort of) and follow directions, but I just made this up as I went along (I have seen this idea on Pinterest a while ago, but I didn't have internet when I was making this so I just kind of made things up as I went along. I left the label on to give it some visual interest too. It was so easy - I just measured and cut one end off of the tie leaving the wide triangular end as the closure.
I folded the flap over and sewed a snap (crappily by hand I'm afraid - but no one sees it when it's closed ;) !) to keep it shut. I then used some of the leftover piece to create my wrist strap and attached it to the side of my little purse.
And there it is!! My dd loves it and wants to keep her phone in it - I'm not sure if I'll give her mine or go find another old tie to make one for her!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!!

Captured in a photo
I absolutely LOVE this photo of all of my kids snuggled in my bed together (checking out their brother's new laptop!!). It reminds me of when they were little and they'd all squish into my bed when they'd wake up of a morning! I miss having all my kids home, and I really enjoy when we are all together again.
I used products from my May Studio Calico kit to make this. For the middle section, I took one of the stamps from the Brownie add-on and just freehand stamped across the cardstock then layered some of the very cool washi tape (my most fav right now) above and below. I splotched some Mister Huey's (Taxi and Piglet) onto my page then started layering. I cut the camera piece using my Silhouette Cameo and I even layered a tiny vellum envelope (the one with the heart sticker) on there - it came with some precious embellies in it! I added a few of the wood veneer arrows that I'm trying really hard not to hoard (I can't buy anymore - no one has any of these left!!) and I hand cut a few chevrons for the bottom of the layout. All that was left was stapling the journaling onto my page and it was done!!
TFL!! Have a great day!! :)

They crack me up!!
My kids are the funniest people to be around!! I love that no matter how old they are they still like to act goofy and have fun!! They take after their momma because I still like doing goofy things too - we all enjoy this silliness when we're together!! We took some very proper (boring) photos of everyone together - then I took the silly shots - we always have tons of those kinds of pictures and they always seem to be the one I like to scrap the best!! :) This is their gansta' poses!
I used my May Studio Calico kit for this - and some of those cutie cute wooden veneer pieces made by SC. I cut the flower pieces using my Silhouette - love the way it turned out!!
