I made this layout using the ad pictured below as inspiration that I pinned on Pinterest here. I loved the floral top with the strong dark color at the bottom and white in between for the photo, but the photo I wanted to use was vertical, and I didn't like the way it overlapped the colored blocks, so I turned the whole layout on it's side! That way the photo stayed between the white and was framed by the colored borders. The colors from the inspiration piece were what caught my eye first, so I stayed pretty true to that, just substituting navy blue for the black. I wanted to add circles like the inspiration piece, so I cut a circle background piece using my Silhouette. I first had it covering the whole layout, but it made the floral piece way to busy looking, so I tucked it under that part of the background. I just added a few embellishments around my photo with the title - which includes some gold thread bunched in spots for a more organic look - and some small stamped butterflies down the white block to really draw your eye to the photo and I was done!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I'll have a blogpost next week using a new inspiration piece from Pinterest that I will use to make a layout/project. I hope you'll check back then!! :)
Love it!
