Sketch Challenge at Elle's Studio .....

Today is Sketch Thursday over on the Elle's Studio Blog and I made a layout using the sketch for the blog post
It features my favorite kitty ever - my Gremlin boy. Oh how I love that cat! He's not an outside cat, but sometimes I'll take him onto the front porch and he'll walk up and down the porch rails. He really is a fraidy cat and would never jump off the porch!! He likes to look around and feel the sun on him for about 2 minutes then he's ready to come back in.

I used products from the new Elle's Studio Collection Shine which will be shipping out to lss and internet stores soon! It is a fun, bright and gorgeous collection with tons of wood veneer pieces and some very cool stamps. I used two of the stamps on this layout - the black dots and the blue arrow border which is from the Washi  Stamp Set - my favorite set ever!! And I'm not even really a stamper!

Here's the sketch
I turned it on it's side and them for the squares I first drew
them, then watercolored them, then stitched each individual square. Then I started the layering. This layout turned out way different than I first pictured - but that ALWAYS happens to me! I love the way it turned out - and it truly is my own version of the sketch!! LOL

You should join in this week - all you need to do is use the sketch, use some Elle's Studio product (it doesn't have to be all ES, just a bit will be fine), upload your layout to the ES Gallery here and link it up in the original blog post here and you could win a $10 gift certificate to be used in the Elle's Studio store!

I can't wait to see your projects!! :)

  1. The combination of water colouring, stamping and stitching gives such lovely colour and texture here. Looks like a great kit too.
